Once again, you’re forced to look at M. Poiret with a frysquint.gif. Redfern’s black, unshaped, Orientalist evening cloak is remarkably like the sort of coat he claimed to have invented. Perhaps that Russian princess just had odd taste, and wasn’t representative of the prevailing fashion after all.
